A brief review of Public Finance (Central services)

From January to November of 2011, total public revenue has risen by 41.6%, in comparison with the same period from last year, with a total of MOP 102.84 billion. This increment was due to noticeable increases in the revenue of “Direct taxes from gaming” and “Transfers”, up by 46.1% and 48.2% respectively, and was contributed by increasing gross gaming revenue.
Total public expenditure was MOP 36.44 billion, with an increase of 20.2%, in comparison with the same period from last year. “Current Expenditure”and “Captial Expenditure” rose 16.4% and 53% respectively. The expenditure for   “Investment Plan” totalled MOP 3.24 billion, has increased by 12.3% with an execution rate of 28.5%. A fiscal surplus of MOP 66.4 billion was recorded in the first eleven months of 2011, up by 57% as compared with the same period of last year.
